As I mentioned in my previous post, 2020 was a good year for reading…

This year, I have read the following books… in approximate chronological order:

  • Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg
  • Dirty Havana Trilogy by Juan Pedro Gutierrez
  • The Magus by John Fowles
  • Oscar & Lucinda by Peter Carey
  • Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
  • East of Eden by John Steinbeck
  • Option B by Sheryl Sandberg & Adam Grant

And now I’m reading the following in parallel:

  • Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman (I had started reading this before Option B, but stopped for a long time, and picking it up again over Christmas break)
  • The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder

I’m typically a much more avid reader of fiction than non-fiction, and it has been many years since I’ve had the patience and mind space read literary fiction rather than pop or pulp fiction.

I guess it’s good for inspiration, or distraction…
