Despite the sweltering heat, brought the kids climbing today as I’ve been feeling antsy after a week of virtually no exercise. I thought this would also calm them down after “seaweed-gate” (where neither Baby-F nor Big Boy O would admit to opening a packet of seaweed until I escalated to an absurd level, and they finally admitted that both of them opened it, but only a couple of days later. With the reasoning that they used “kids’ logic instead of adults’ logic, and [they are] kids.” Oh-kaaay…)
We only did bouldering as I didn’t want to lug all the harnesses around in the heat. I didn’t exert myself too much, as my left rotator cuff hasn’t fully recovered, and my hand got tired quickly anyway. The kids got really excited by the rowing machine and both decided to jump on it and row randomly but also competitively, while chattering all the way – the folks nearby who saw them found them really amusing and were chuckling at them.

I spent most of the afternoon with HV, who had never really seen the boys since soon after Big Boy O was born. She found them amusing, and chuckled that they’re really high energy, it must be exhausting being with them all the time, and it’s good that I have a break every other week to do my own thing. So true…
I pruned the mother plant of my Chinese money plant, and potted up most of the pups into new pots. I gave a couple of pups to HV – hopefully they’ll propagate successfully, as it’s been a while since I’ve done it, and the pot was really jammed, so I didn’t do a great job.

Then worked late tonight, for the third night in a row (yes, on Friday and Saturday too) to prepare an CEO update for Monday.
