Went for gym this morning, then birthday brunch with the gym crowd – it was one of the guy’s birthday.

Came back and quickly organised my half term trip – booked flights, AirBnB, and an airport hotel stay before my morning flight. It’s been *ages* since I’ve had to do any holiday logistical planning and admin. I kind of struggled with it. But thankfully, managed to get it done.

I’m staying overnight at the hotel tomorrow, and flying Monday morning. This is the most last minute trip I have ever planned in my life!!

Now I’ll have to hope everything goes well – we catch the flight, I manage to find my way to the AirBnB and manage to enter, etc. Even though it’s a relatively “boring” and low-key holiday, it should be fun. And at least it should be relatively easy for a ‘novice’ – I don’t think I’ve ever travelled anywhere with the kids on my own. And, I can to score 2 countries too. Win!

It’s funny how I’m learning or relearning new skills at 40+, as a result of the divorce. E.g. having to throw out the rubbish for the first time in years, having to get rid of slugs, plan and book holiday logistics etc. As I often say – from the sublime to the riculous.
