A relatively quiet day for once… no group violin lessons, and enforced rest from surgeries. We mostly stayed home, except for cycling in the park in the afternoon, when I did 40 assisted pull ups on the outdoor gym machine, and 10 lat pull downs. I felt much weaker than before, and was really struggling. But no time like to present to slowly dip my toes into training again.

I also swung by the local garden centre in the morning to pick up some plants to cheer me up. When I’m feeling down and blue, I tend to buy plants. Or just shop in general.

Big Boy O played in an online chess tournament late afternoon, where he was in “Team A” with the older students in his school, but absurdly, “Team B”, consisting mainly of his year group, performed better. He was still the second top scorer in his school, after his peer who was in Team B – a good friend, and a close chess rival at their school club.

I also spent the afternoon decorating the place a bit, and created a little “Christmas corner” for a Christmassy feel. I also reviewed, pruned, cleared, and repotted my plants. Time to prepare and spruce up for Christmas.
