Slightly chaotic day today. My ex-colleague (SL) who was in town from HK had been trying to arrange a catch up with me and another common UK friend (JS) over the past few days. But she never got around to clarifying and finalising a time and place.

So I woke up this morning at 09:45 to a suggestion of 10:00 at Kings Cross which didn’t work. And then I took the suggestion of showing up between 12:30-15:00 to mean that’s the window to catch up, so I got ready quickly and hopped onto the tube and messaged that I’d only get there at 12:45.

It was only after I met my UK friend and his wife that I found out that apparently the idea was to catch up from ~15:00, which was what had been originally discussed between my HK friend and our UK friend. Great communication all around, which made me laugh a bit at the grief I gave Germany over confirming at least 24 hours in advance because it’s basic human respect etc, when apparently, it’s challenging even with my friends.

Came back and finished up most of my semi big piece of work that is due next week. So I’m hoping tomorrow will be relatively relaxing with only minor wrap ups.

My left arm is hurting from climbing. Boo.
